Much to the relief of everyone on the 11am East Coast Service from London to Edinburgh, I've managed to hold a connection for long enough to sign up to the network and get my page sorted. 78 'tuts', a plenty of "For God's Sake!" and a few cynical "How's your Internet? " to the businessmen around me - who clearly don't care about my problems - I'm on!
As I made the final clicks to set up my account, I could feel the whole carriage let out a big simultaneous sigh of relief and I'm very nearly positive that at least a few people clapped. I considered audio blogging this but thought it was pushing the terms of the social contract of sitting in the quiet carriage just a little too far. Either way, I'm happy to be online and look forward to watching, reading, listening, chatting and blogging with you all.
