Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature is a classic anime movie directed by
Osamu Tezuka and released in 1984. This is a story about a cat that used to be normal, but then, due to certain DNA changes, became a super cat. This anime deserves certain criticism in terms of plot and animation, though I cannot say that it is absolutely not worth watching.
So, what shall I start with? Of course, the plot and the characters. Bagi, the Monster of Mighty Nature has quite an intriguing storyline that integrates drama, comedy and action. The story has two major characters, Ryosuke and Bagi; several flashbacks to the past explain how they met and how Bagi became a half-feline and a half-human with supernatural powers. Quite an interesting beginning, isn’t it?
Further, this couple tries to discover why Bagi is not a mere cat anymore. How come that she has overgrown an ordinary cat? What is the source of her superpowers? Although, I am more interested in why she is pink and how come that a pet that normally coughs up the fur balls started reading and writing. By the way, the fact that Bagi is pink does not mean that she is a nice purring half-animal, though sometimes she acts like one. In fact, she is a monster who Ryo is sent out to murder.
Are you interested yet? Get ready for more – Tezuka has prepared a really capturing story for you. The story has several plot holes and body proportions in some scenes are frustrating, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. If you have homework to do, you’d better get a
custom essay or a
custom research paper and spend these 85 minutes learning how you can fight with the sword when riding a motorcycle. Besides, it is a good way to find out what a modified DNA may turn a simple cat into.
