Streaming?

For those of you around in 2006, you may remember I went through a phase of streaming shows completely live (see the latest show post on the main page of this group). I really enjoyed playing some tunes and speaking to people via Skype for 2 hours every Sunday. If I ever get my studio set up the way I used to have it, I'll be plunging right back into the live stuff once again.

We've also been talking to a few people about streaming the PodFest gigs live, although I'm not sure entirely of the benefits. Thoughts, anyone?

I wasnt around in '06, but I can see some great things about streaming them. If you have a live audience, you could probably pick up a sponsor or two, go for enough to pay for the connection would be a good place to start. I havent listened to them(yet) but if the bands are live, have them push it heavy far inadvance. So they can get their fan base to tune in and they can take requests. I could sit and think of more but I am at work right now(shhh). Gotta run

Its all about getting it out there Phil. If there is nothing for them to see or hear, then people soon go away. The anticipation of live events being streamed either audio or video can be high - but if nothing comes of it - it pisses the listeners/watchers off and you get a bad wrap.
