New Media Breakfast & Social Media Podcast

What 3 podcasts would you choose to subscribe to on a desert island?

I think my initial selection would be:

Coverville - for the best of both worlds, old songs played by other (often emerging) artists

For Immediate Release - for news from both sides of the pond!

Six Pixels of Separation - for social network news and, Mitch is a cool guy!

This may all change but, that's my thoughts for now.

The Vobes Show - for frequency, cheesiness, and partial lunacy.

The Bitterest Pill - for depth with humour, and something I can relate to.

The Mr. Nice Guy Show - for bitterness and rancour, in a bite size piece.

(limiting it to 3 is artificial though, isn't it?)
Ah, the Bitterest Pill...and The Hollywood Podcast, they'd need to be on my backup list, for sure.
Let's make it 3 (ish)
Bit disappointed the tartanpodcast isn't on there, boss, but I forgive you....

Mine would be;

This American Life (it's always great hearing how wonderfully messed up the most developed nation in the land is. No offense).
Football Weekly from Guardian Unlimited (always good to hear James Richardson's puns).
Top of the Pods (when it was being regularly produced late 2005).
Hmmmm.... three....

Coverville This was I get a really wide selection of tunes (sorry, Mark)

Escape Pod This way, I get a really wide selection of new science fiction/fantasy stories

NPR's Wait... Wait... Don't Tell Me I get news of the world, but with a twist to keep in interesting

Of course, if anyone starts a desert island survival PodCast, one of these would get dropped... probably Wait... Wait...
Brad is officially banned from the show.
If Brian goes off-Pod, you're in there... before CC, PodCast Paul, Vic Galloway... or t'other ones.
To be fair, if the tartanpodcast was your desert island podcast, you'd soon be chewing your own fingers off for lack of regular new content!
3? That's tough.

A music podcast. Three From Leith - www.threefromleith.com - or the tartanpodcast if Mark can recapture the buzz .. and the signs are good.

Something for the brain. Am I allowed to say the BBC Radio 4 In Our Time or is that heresy on these pages?

The World's Tech podcast

Some of my favourites have faded - John Buckley's excellent Citizen Scoop or Dissident Vox, politipunk, Top of the Pods. So trying to choose 3 different things, and not 15, was hard.
Oooooohhhhhh.... In Our Time. When Melvin Bragg's not arguing with his panel, it works well.

I agree that this 3 thing is way too difficult. I'm a packrat by nature, and getting rid of stuff is emotionally wrenching.

I've just subscribed to Gab's cast and downloading Mark's new tartan podcasts too.
