A Practical and participative business workshop covering discrimination in the workplace to help you remain compliant with UK employment laws.
Quite often the first time employers become aware of a discrimination issue in the workplace is when a staff member complains or when they receive an employment tribunal claim from a disgruntled employee. Content covered in this workshop will include:
* What types of discrimination covered under employment legislation
* How to prevent discrimination in the workplace
* How to deal with any claims of unfair treatment
* Practical exercises on completing an investigation and conduct grievance hearings
* Impact of getting it right (and getting it wrong)
* Recent case law examples
* Future developments, including the Equalities Bill and how this will impact on employers
Agenda for the Workshop is as follows:
* 7.30 to 8am - Tea, Coffee / Open Networking
* 8am to 10.30am - Workshop
* 10.30am to 11am - Open Networking
